Hot Fudge Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 C. flour
  • 3/4 C. sugar
  • 6 tbsp baking cocoa, divided
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 C. packed brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 C. hot water

In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, 2 tbsp cocoa, baking powder and salt. Stir in the milk, oil and vanilla until smooth. Spread in an ungreased 9 inch square baking pan. Combine brown sugar and remaining cocoa; sprinkle over the batter. Pour the hot water over all, but do not stir. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. Serve warm. Suggestion: top with whipped cream or ice cream.

Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg instant choc pudding mix
  • 1 3/4 C. cold milk
  • 1 choc cookie crust
  • 2 C. whipped topping
  • 4 peanut butter cups (.6 oz), coarsely chopped

In a mixing bowl, beat pudding mix and milk on low speed until combined; beat for 2 minutes on high. Pour into crust. Chill for 20 minutes or until filling is thick. Cover with the whipped topping and sprinkle the chopped peanut butter cups on top. Chill.

Toll House Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 C. flour
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1/2 C. firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 3/4 C. butter, softened
  • 1 C. chopped walnuts
  • 1 C. choc chips
  • 9 inch unbaked deep dish pie shell

Preheat oven to 325. In large mixing bowl, beat eggs at high speed until foamy. Beat in flour, sugar and brown sugar until well blended. Beat in softened butter. Stir in walnuts and choc chips. Pour into pie shell. Bake 55-60 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Suggestion: serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

German Chocolate Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. German chocolate
  • 1/4 C. butter
  • 1 12oz can evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 C. sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 unbaked deep dish pie shell
  • 1/2 C. chopped walnuts
  • 1 1/3 C. flaked coconut

In a saucepan, melt choc and butter over low heat, stirring to mix well. Remove from the heat and gradually blend in milk; set aside. In another bowl, combine sugar, and cornstarch. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Gradually stir in chocolate mixture. Pour into pie shell. Combine walnuts and coconut. Sprinkle over filling. Bake at 375 for 45-50 minutes until puffed and browned. Cool 4 hours; then chill.

M & M's Treasure Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C. flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 C. butter, softened
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1/2 C. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 C. M & M's plain candies
  • 1 C. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar and brown sugar until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract. Gradually blend in flour mixure. Stir in candies and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 C. flour
  • 2/3 C. cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 C. butter, softened
  • 3/4 C. sugar
  • 2/3 C. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 C. choc chips
  • 1 C. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350. In small bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in choc chips & nuts. Drop by rounded tbsp onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 9-10 minutes until the edges are lightly browned. Let stand at least 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheets. Cool completely.

Chocolate Cinnamon Brownies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 C. baking cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2/3 C. butter, melted, divided
  • 1/2 C. boiling water
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 C. flour
  • 1 1/2 - 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 C. choc chips
  • 1 C. chopped walnuts or peanuts

In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda; blend in 1/3 C. melted butter. Add boiling water, stirring until thickened. Stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla and remaining butter. Add flour, cinnamon. Fold in choc chips and nuts. Pour into greased 13 x 9 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until brownies test done. Cool. Frost.

Chocolate Cinnamon Frosting

Ingredients

  • 6 tbs butter, softened
  • 1/2 C. baking cocoa
  • 2 2/3 C. Confectioner's sugar
  • 1 to 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 C. evaporated milk

Cream butter in a mixing bowl. Combine cocoa, sugar and cinnamon. Add alternately with the milk. Beat to spreading consistency; add vanilla. Add more milk if necessary. Spread over the brownies before cutting into squares.
