The Webbi List will undergo drastic changes in the coming weeks, perhaps dumped altogether due to lack of interest, poor page view stats, and changing online habits (e.g., We're all not on WebTV anymore).
While many WebTV/MSNTV users have graduated to computers, there is a handful of Little Black Box aficionados who do not — nor have the desire to — own and operate a computer.
The Webbi List will still review and recommend web site add-ons with the set-top browser crowd in mind. However, this feature will, and must, reflect, Webbilicious' overall tone — To be more inclusive to all budding webmasters regardless of platform used. That, and those site add-ons which were once friendly to the WebTV crows are simply not anymore, and finding said services that will work with our old-fashioned browsers is getting very tough.
Existing articles will be edited as some add-on services are no longer available. This is where the LBB user can help revamp this feature. If you build and maintain a web site using WebTV/MSNTV only, please contact me immediately. And by "web site" I do NOT mean "email sigs." I mean general audience pages that all the online community can easily access regardless of connection method or browser. What guestbook, counters, site stats, blogs, forms, etc. had worked in the past but don't work at all now? Are you having trouble finding, signing up for, and/or logging into such add-ons? Thanks for your input.
Welcome to the WEBBI LIST! Here you will find links to the best site add-ons, services the webmistress uses herself and highly recommends. The list is primarily aimed at those webmasters who rely on technologically challenged set-top browsers (WebTV/MSNTV) to build their sites. I built all my sites solely with the Little Black Box during the late 90's, and I remember how challenging it was finding good add-ons that work with both personal computer and WebTV. However, both WebTV and computer webmasters still need add-ons worthy of his/her time and money, so these reviews may be of great use.
