Music from movies and television is very memorable. These songs seem to stay with us - sometimes longer than the memory of what the production was actually about !

Many of these songs also travel to and from other media, for intstance from stage to screen or television.

Some songs never intended for movie and television end up there anyway, for instance classical music.
