This area is qualified by "Classical and "classical-style" MIDI since the two genres are often mixed on MIDI sites.

We often think of "Classical" as music written by composers such as Bach who lived between 1685 and 1750.In fact classical music has been composed continuously since very early times.

You will see here links to modern men and women who are composing in this field yet today.

It encompasses a wide range of sounds, including fuges and sonnata's as well as concerto's and a variety of other terms stemming from those long ago compositions and associated with instruments available to the period in which it was written.

Perhaps we don't hear as much written with older instruments such as the harpsichord in mind, but with the addition of MIDI to the music scene, it does seem to be making somewhat of a comeback and is a welcome sound to many.

When modern inventions and this historical form of music are blended, we hear delightful results !
