Bunker Banner

"Combat Infantry Badge"

Jim carried the "PIG".

When he served in the "War".

He could make that "60" sing.

A "Infantryman" to the core.

Jim was born in "47".

"Laurel, Mississippi" he grew.

Came from a good Family.

Was an "American" through and true.

Jim was a "Loyal Soldier".

A "Friend" that shared jokes.

Always had a good word.

Especially about his folks.

I can still envision.

That sad "January Day".

A chopper came in the "LZ".

And took my "Friend" away.

My visits with Jim now.

Are at the "Vietnam Wall"

Died in the province of "Quang Ngai".

Answering his "Country's Call".
